Join us as a Volunteer

Wildlife Volunteers

Mandurah Wildlife Rehabilitation has no paid staff and is completely reliant on our volunteers who make the centre function. Volunteering at the Mandurah Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a rewarding and enriching experience.

Our volunteers help feed and care for our native wildlife patients throughout the year. Your time at the centre can be structured around your requirements and how many hours you have available. No prior knowledge or experience is required.

As well as caring for our animals, you will learn about our unique fauna including what they eat, how they live and how to make your garden a haven for our native animals.

Our volunteers might undertake any of the following roles:

  • Caring for and Feeding animals

  • Cleaning cages

  • Transport of injured animals to and from the vet’s

  • Assisting with releases of animals back into the wild

  • Maintenance of building, cages and gardening

  • Fundraising at events

  • Manning the helpline

  • Making photos and videos

  • IT support

  • Marketing and social media

  • Attracting sponsors and writing grant applications

  • Administration and data entry

There is always something that fits you. If you have any other skills that we could use, then please let us know.
